In my YouTube journey, this evening, I found a song that I hadn’t heard in a few years. It’s Kyrie Eleison, by Sinead O’Connor. Many different artists have covered this hymn, but I think I like O’Connor’s the most.
After doing a little Wikipedia research, I found that O’Connor sang it during a Rastafarian spiritual journey. Weird, yes, but Sinead isn’t the only artist known for her non-western spiritual journey translated into a new album. Alanis Morissette did it, the Beatles did it, Rhianna will probably do it once she and Chris Brown breakup again.
Anyway, here’s a great song to listen to. I’m not into religious music and I’m sure that O’Connor really isn’t either, but this is such a truly peaceful song. I used to listen to it while meditating, I hope it brings you some of the same comfort.
