The flex rods were not a success. But don’t worry, it was my fault. I did it midday without thinking: “Am I really going to sleep on these things?” Plus, I rolled them so tight, they were giving me a headache. So I unrolled them and of course my hair was not dry. It was poofy and frizzy so I had put a kerchief over it and called it a day.

I’m not too disappointed, I can try it another day and sit under a drier or something. These are the experimental things you must try in order to see what works for you. You know the saying: “Can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”

  1. Awww, that's right! Good try!

  2. Thanks, I'll pick it up in the future, but today I've gone back to a full head of sponge rollers. Were they fun to sleep in, no, but I took an aspirin last night and the results should be pretty.

  3. That happened to me, if my hair isn't dry, no bueno! I find that flexi's work best for me on 2nd day hair. I hope it goes well on the next try 😀

  4. I am going to try the video you posted about waves w/flex rods though. I'm going to a Downton Abbey viewing with friends and I think it will be necessary!
