Post-No Sweets Challenge

I made it!!!! Yea!!!! I went 5 days and 5 nights without sugar!!! I’m sorry I did not update on Day 5, I was swamped with preparing presentations for a sociology conference I attended today. I feel pretty darn good about my success with this challenge. I didn’t think that I could do it (and apparently neither did my husband). I’ve decided to generally take it a little easier on sweets (go a few days a week without them) from now on. I was able to recognize my dependency on sweets and how they sometimes supplement small meals so I want to change that. I experienced increased mental clarity and more energy (during the day), along with spurts of unquenchable hunger due to the sweets void. In celebration of my success and the end of the challenge, my darling husband bought us some cookies from our favorite bakery in the Midwest:

Don’t worry, I plan to eat my share of these cookies s-l-o-w-l-y:)

  1. Huzzah! Look at you, doing what Noah and I couldn't do in the first day of “our challenge.” That's it! I'm trying it again.
