I can’t find my camera so I couldn’t take a picture of my current mini-twists (or my raw avocado dip I made today!), but you all probably already know how much I love mini-twists. I don’t love doing them, but I adore the result. Here’s why:
1) Protective styling
I’m sure we’re all familiar with the benefits of protective styling. If not, watch a Kimmaytube video (hello!). Protective styling keeps our hands (and other appliances) out of our hair and allows our hair to rest and flourish. Protective styling has been correlated with hair growth and hair health.
2) Free-style
When we put twists in our hair we do not have to worry about styling as often. We can get up, moisturize our hair, and go. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need a break from the labor of hairstyling and maintenance, and twisting is a great solution.
3) It’s Cool Baby
It’s summer and in most places it’s HOT! With twists you don’t have to worry about your hair acting as a hood and drawing in more heat. Simply put on a headband or throw your twists into a bun and you’re done. Your scalp (and the rest of your body) will thank you:)

Forgive me, forgive me! 😉 My twists are actually looking a little rugged now anyway, but I'll take before and after pics when I take them down. As for the avocado dip, it didn't have a wish. I can post a pic of the empty bowl if you'd like. Lol 🙂
