Au Naturel

(Self portrait by artist Daisy Giles)

I’m happy to announce that all of my hair care products are now 100% natural or organic!!! After having natural hair for over 5 years I’ve FINALLY found a group of natural products that work for my hair. You can’t see me now, but I’m doing a little dance in excitement;) In addition, Walgreens in my town has began to carry Shea Moisture!!! Ya’ll I about cried when I saw the products on the shelf! This is landmark for a town like mine that just does not have natural products for black hair (and not many black hair products period). I will be doing a Shea Moisture product review very soon along with a post on my current hair regimen. Until next time.

  1. Hi Charish. This is not post related…was looking on your blog for an email address. I have a question re:your blog header and the tabs you have. How do you get the TABS to appear? Blogger offers them on the template designer but they never show you once you apply the template to your blog. Or is this a template with tabs that you used from another site? Please let me know.
Just delete this I guess once you have read it.

Thanks. You can respond on my blog, I guess.

  2. Hi! It's Evelyn. Charish is definitely the person you want to ask about this, I know little about design details. I do know that we use the “Design” link to access everything display related. The tabs at the top are “Pages” within the Design link. Charish's email is: charish84@gmail.com
P.S. I just checked out your blog and it's great! 😉

  3. Thank you so much, Evelyn for the link to Charish. I love your site, the combination of topics and ideas. I appreciate the compliment.

But, finally…I understood what to do :)with the tabs!

I wanna be just like you and have all natural hair products in my arsenal. I guess through trial and error, and over time it will happen. I'm still a newbie. But, as it regards the Shea Moisture…I LOVE IT! If you want to, you can have a read of a review on the blog.

  4. Oh, I'm glad you got it worked out! It has definitely been a long road to find products that work. Honestly, if I had found products that weren't all natural, but worked well for my hair I would have used them. It just so happened that the natural products were the only ones that worked for my hair. Everyone's hair is different so it is A LOT of trial and error. It never ends because as our hair grows and as seasons change, we will continually have to modify things.
I am going to read the Shea Moisture review right now! I bought the Deep Treatment Masque and the Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

  5. I'm sorry for getting back at you so late, but Ev did steer you in the right direction. We're still sorting out the confusion that is Blogger.

Also, I want to be just like Ev too. I've still got petroleum under the sink. God give me the strength to go to the local beauty supply and not buy more crap. . .
